Usage: More than 80% of drinking water today is treated using sand filters in rapid and slow filtration tanks. Maintaining optimal operating conditions for these filters depends greatly on the physico-chemical properties and particle size composition of the material. Therefore, selecting the appropriate quality and particle size of sand is extremely important in calculating the filtration tank’s working efficiency.

In nature, only about 10% of sand is used in rapid filtration tanks, and 30% of that is applied in slow filtration tanks. The selection of filter media particles, related to effective particle size and uniformity coefficient, is an advanced technique currently adopted by developed countries. With many years of experience, our company has been able to manufacture and supply sand filters with highly efficient water filtration characteristics.  Application: Effectively used in combination with other mechanical filtration media such as anthracite, activated carbon, manganese sand, and gravel in rapid and slow filtration tanks at water treatment plants, as well as in industrial, urban, and domestic wastewater treatment facilities. Particularly, when applied in backwash filtration or large-scale water treatment basins, it delivers high performance. In addition, it is also effectively applied in various types of pressure water filter tanks and filter columns.
